Different Teaching Strategies

What are the best teaching strategies?

Three different teaching strategies can be best used.

social learning which can be partner or group work.

Vicarious learning which is observational learning

Learning contracts are an agreement between students and teachers. This could be a step by step guide of what will happen in classes.

Example:

The children are going to do group projects in class today. I will show them the assignment and then they will work in groups to complete it. This assignment was on the syllabus so the children know what is happening today.

Connections To My Story

As I went through school, I realized that some methods worked better for not only me but the other kids. I realized that group work made it fun and engaging and much group work was done in certain classes. When I was in music classes we learned by watching the teacher and then working together and helping each other. Also, when I got to high school we got a syllabus for every class and it helped my stay on track and be prepared.

Application to my Future Career

In my future career, learning the different types of teaching as well as observing different teachers it helps me know what my style will be.

In the future I would do a mix of the three I have picked out. I would like the students observe how I transcribe then I will have them do it in groups. The students then can help each other and I can help groups if needed. Also, a syllabus will be key in my class not only to keep me on track but also help the students stay on track and be prepared.
